Sam Wilson
Sam Wilson is an award-winning film professional based in NYC with 10 years of experience in narrative film, documentary and commercial video production. As a writer, director, cinematographer, and editor, Sam has refined his skills as a filmmaker with a catalog of short and feature films using practical effects and experimental filmmaking techniques to explore mental illness and mechanisms of oppression within our society.
Sam is the founder of Zoopraxis Films and in 2019, was the recipient of the Franz Wieser Grant from ARRI for his short film The Molok.
He is the co-founder of The Molok Project, which debuted its first interactive sculpture installation in 2021 in State College, PA. The Molok will next be showing at The Pajama Factory in Williamsport, PA in the summer of 2023.
Sam’s latest film Same As It Ever Was will be hitting the festival circuit later this year.
